On a short pillar is a shrine (there are om symbols painted on its sides) that marks the second place where Shivabalayogi sat in tapas.
This is where the Adivarapupeta village street ends at the Godavari River canal, about a thousand feet west of where Shivabalayogi was first made to sit in tapas.
When Shivabalayogi sat in tapas here, it was under a large ravi (boddhi) tree.  A powerful typhoon blew the tree over in the late 1990's, so it is no longer there.
