Goddess Parvati (on the left) and the linga Ardhanarishwara Swami inside the inner sanctuary of the temple at the Shivabalayogi ashram in Adivarapupeta. 

Shivabalayogi installed Parvati and Ardhanarishwara in 1962 on the same place where he sat for almost ten of his twelve-year tapas. At the time, this was inside the twelve-foot square Dhyana Mandir (meditation temple).  After his mahasamadhi in 1994, the Dhyana Mandir was demolished and the new temple constructed in its place, all without disturbing the goddess and linga that Shivabalayogi had consecrated.
